A real unsung and behind-the-scenes hero at Walton Lane for many years, Alan travels the length and breadth of the Sussex in following the Robins, providing match day updates on our X account and filing reports to the local press - alongside many unseen tasks throughout the season in managing player registrations, affiliations, opposition and referee match confirmations and much more in his role as Secretary.

Alan was the recipient of the Southern Combination League's Long Service Award, received at the League's AGM and presentation dinner at the Royal Sussex in Uckfield in recognition of over two decades of service at the Robins.

This was then followed-up with the Saywell International (Arun & Chichester) Youth Football League Awards night, where Alan was presented with The David Banks Award (pictured).

This is highly prestigious award recognising outstanding commitment to youth football and those who go above and beyond in supporting young players, teams and the spirit of the game.

With over 100 clubs competing in the Arun & Chichester Youth League, this was a real coupe for a Bosham FC member to receive this, and we are immensely proud of Alan's achievement.
