Boston U9s beaten in Plate Semi Final!

Boston U9s were involved in a 14 team tournament on a lovely spring day at Spalding RFU.

Boston played 3 matches in their pool.
The first match was against a Spalding B side in which Boston played within themselves but easily beat their opposition by 5-1.
Their second match was a more difficult game against a Stamford B side. Boston battled hard and eventually ran out 3-1 winners.
Their third pool game was against a very strong team from Morley – who had easily beaten the other teams in the pool. Boston played their best rugby and defended superbly but the Morley U9s were too good and won 4-1.

The runners-up place meant that Boston competed in the semi-final of the Plate competition against Stamford Tigers. At 1-1 the game went into extra time with “next try wins”. Unfortunately Stamford nicked the try and went through to the Plate final.
