This year saw the resurrection of the midlands rep programme. This gives players from across the Midlands league an opportunity to take their game to the next level. It is also a recognised pathway to the England Lionhearts squad. This year saw John Stanfield, Jack Rules, Rory O’Sullivan and Jordan Cleaver represent the Buccaneers alongside players from Derby, Nottingham, Birmingham and Telford. Jim Dearing was named as assistant coach to the midlands squad alongside fellow Buccaneer Mark Cleaver who will be general manager.
