The Boston Buccaneers continue their winning streak with a 62-26 victory over the Buxton Bulls.

With captain Jim Dearing still injured, Marc Miles again took charge. Coach 'Beany' made a few forced changes to last weeks squad due to player unavailability handing debuts to Dave Davies, Mike Knock and Matt Coley. However, the new look Buccaneers did not disappoint; running in 12 tries.

The game started well for the Buccaneers with Chris Wells jinxing his way down the touch line to score after a lovely chip by Dan Mackie. The under strength Bulls soon showed that the home team were not going to have things all their way scoring under the posts. The Buccs soon struck back with a fine individual effort from Jonathan Spencer who ran over several defenders to score. Errors then started to creep into the Buccaneers game with them squandering several scoring opportunities. The Bulls seized the initiative and scored 3 unanswered tries within a ten minute spell. After some wise words from coach 'Beany' the Buccaneers re-focussed and almost immediately it paid dividends with David Davies scoring after a great drive down field thanks to some great midfield play by centre Jamie Jenkins. With time running out in the first half and trailing by 4 points wing Chris Wells outpaced the Bulls defence and scored in the corner. At halftime both teams were tied 22-22.

The second half saw the Buccaneers get into their stride running in 3 tries in 10 minutes from Will Scupham, Mike Knock and Jonathan Spencer. The error count reduced and with the Bulls having to defend almost constantly it was no surprise when the Buccaneers scored again through Dave Davies after great work by Tom and James Andrews. Gaps were now opening up all over the park and there was no stopping a rampant Buccaneers attack, Hooker Wayne Harley was next on the scoresheet followed by Jonathan Spencer for his third of the day. Just when the Bulls started to look like they would score the Buccaneers defence led by Marc Miles held strong. Mike Knock, Dan Piggins and Adam Downing along with Alex Ioannou kept the Bulls attack at bay with some great defensive work. The final few minutes saw man of the match Jonathan Spencer score his fourth try of the day in typical Spencer style by strong running leaving defenders in his wake. Scrum half Tom Andrews scored a well deserved try after the Buccaneers back line showed great skill to finish the game 62-26.
