Opening Day

By Jon Terry

This Saturday (13th April) sees the official opening of Avery Fields by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham Councillor Yvonne Mosquito.

The weather is set fair and now that we know that Bournville 1s have secured their place in next season's Midlands Premier League we are looking forward to a big day and a big crowd to officially help us open Avery Fields.

Before the match our Minis & Juniors are invited on to the pitch to join in some games run by our Community Team. We'll have 2 groups (1 for younger and 1 for older children) and the more children that we can get on the pitch the better. For those of you still considering signing up for our Easter Rugby Camps these games will be run by the camp coaching team so it is something of a "free taster session".

Come along with suitable BRFC Kit and boots and form the Guard of Honour before the Bournville vs Syston League Match. Children will also be welcome to stay and play on the pitch after the game.

We look forward to seeing you there!
