Two of our Girls U15s included in the North Mids RFU U15s Squad for this Sunday’s Festival against Staffordshire, Warwickshire & Leicestershire.

We are delighted to see two of our Girls U15s called up to the North Midlands RFU U15s Festival Squad for this Sunday’s Festival against Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Leicestershire.

Amelie Ghotra and Nieve McNally both of whom played (and shone) throughout the Minis age groups at Bournville are stalwarts of our growing Girls squad.

Girls Head Coach Fitz Arkey commented "The inclusion of Amelie and Nieve in the North Midlands U15s playing squad highlights the progress girls rugby is making as a whole at Bournville. With the planned rearrangement of age groups next season, the girls will continue to have plenty of high quality training and playing opportunities, hopefully leading to even more success stories in the future.

Well done girls, the squad are proud of you!"

It seems particularly pertinent that this exciting news comes at the end of week where we learnt of the passing of Charlie Champken who has been such a champion of Girls rugby at Bournville and we’re sure that they will be the first of many girls from Bournville getting rewarded with representative honours.

Girls rugby at Bournville includes Tag and Full Contact and anyone looking to get involved with Girls rugby next season should contact Fitz. They are constantly looking to grow their team and will take players at all levels of abilities.
