An unbeaten half century from Jake Wilson and a swashbuckling 26 from 9 nine balls from Charlie Parker led the U17s to victory at home to Maidenhead & Bray.
A sloppy fielding performance from the lads allowed our visitors to post 30 runs more than they should have, Isaac Bartram returning exceptional figures of 4-2-6-2, aided by a solid death bowing spell from Yusuf Arshad (3-0-13-2).
The chase of 161 was never in doubt, with Nihal (23) and Jake (54*) dealing in boundaries against the shell-shocked M&B attack. Jake's retirement only heaped more misery on our visitors, Charlie taking 24 runs off the 8th over and effectively ending the game as a contest before the half-way point. Shrey completed the job with a brisk 30, and the Hill go second in the table.

The U13 Stags travelled to Emmbrook for a Blast game on Tuesday night. A tricky pitch and a tiny boundary meant it was hard to predict what a good score was, but some tight bowling and daredevil fielding from our particularly youthful side restricted our hosts to 102 from 18 overs. Jayen (3-2-12-2) and Hasan (2-0-8-1) were the pick of the bowlers.
Our batting response faltered to 26/5, some excellent bowling taking advantage of the unpredictable pitch. Pranshu (12) was met at the crease by Rohan and they set about re-building the innings. Mesum and Hasan both came and kept us in touch with a flurry of boundaries and when the injured Muhammad bravely came to join Rohan in the final over, two runs were needed from the final ball. Rohan was finally removed for 25 scampering the second, sealing the tie for the Hill.
The Super Over that ensued saw Aum clatter 22 runs and leave an easy job for Mesum to secure the win with the ball.
Huge credit to U11s Sami and Liam Kyte, making their U13 Stag debuts, and both making diving boundary stops. Every run counts lads!
The team are now 3rd from six in the Blast after a tough start to the season, and can finish 2nd with a strong performance next week.

The U13 Stags went to county champions Marlow last week, and could scarcely believe we were cantering home with 8 overs and 9 wickets to spare.
Having lost to a particularly 'confident' Marlow twice this season, the boys were fired up from the off, Lachlan (3-1-7-2), Mesum and Hasan putting their feet on the hosts' throats. Jayen mopped up the tail with a casual triple wicket maiden, restricting Marlow to just 72.
Our reply was swift and fierce. Liam raced to 30 off 15 for his 4th declaration in 5 innings (and an acceptable league average of 135), while Tegh and Aum finished the job, the latter perfectly executing a reverse sweep over point to seal victory.

The U13 Harts were well-beaten by 51 runs at Littlewick Green, Pranshu the highlight with the ball and Yuvraj (17 off 12) putting up a fighting response with the bat vs a strong Challenge league team.

The U13 Harts entertained Slough on Tuesday, with spinner Adam Jalal the star of the show, taking 4 wickets for 6 runs. A double wicket maiden for Yusaf held Slough to 108.
A run-a-ball 17 for Muhammad and a smart 14 from 11 from Adam got the Hill to the win in the last over.
