The Club is sad to announce the passing of former player, Ken Standring, on Thursday, 25 July aged 89.
Ken played for the former Bingley Club as a professional from the mid- 1960s to the mid-1970s at a time when all clubs in the Bradford League were restricted to a maximum of three professional players per club. He was a rarity, in that he opened both the batting (left-handed), and the bowling (right-hand, fast medium), and his all-round prowess resulted in him being the first recipient of the Bradford League The Sir Learie Constantine Best All Rounder Trophy in Season 1963, and again in 1969.
