Our Purpose

Bradford Hockey Club’s purpose is:

The recruitment and development of children, young people and adults into the sport of hockey as players, leaders/coaches, umpires, administrators and volunteers.
The provision of playing, leading/coaching, umpiring, administrative and volunteer opportunities at a participation, development and performance level.
To provide equity of opportunity across all areas of the club, to encourage inclusion by minority groups.
To provide a safe, effective and child friendly environment in which to play and learn hockey.
To obtain a suitable facility on a lease of tenancy where the game of hockey can be played - Our home at Bradford Girls Grammar School (BGGS).

Our Training times

Senior Training - Thursday nights 19:00 to 20:30 at BGGS (Juniors over 13yrs by invitation)
Junior Training (6 to 16 yrs old) - Friday nights 18:45 to 20:15 at BGGS (excl School holidays).
Back to Hockey - Friday nights 19:00 to 20:00 at BGGS (excl School holidays). These sessions are aimed at parents who would like to do a bit of fitness/ learn some hockey while the children are training. New or returning Seniors looking to play senior games, should attend the Thursday night Senior session.

Our Teams

We currently have three Senior teams and four Junior (Bradford Boars) Teams

Ladies 1st XI - Compete in YNE Moor & Dales Women's Division 2
Mens 1st XI - Compete in Yorkshire Men’s Division 3
Mens 2nd XI - Compete in YNE Moor & Dale Men's Division 1
Junior Development Team - Compete in the Yorkshire North Development Series.
U8 - (up to Y3) Compete in regional Tournaments and friendlies.
U10 - (Y4 and Y5) Compete in the U10 Yorkshire Youth Tournament series.
U12 - (Y6 and Y7) Compete in the U12 Yorkshire Youth Tournament series.

Our Membership Packages

Hockey is our passion and we want to ensure Bradford HC offers our members the best value hockey in West Yorkshire. As well as the inclusive environment and great coaching, one way we achieve this is through our membership fees, which for 2024/25 are as follows:

Junior/ Student Annual - £240.00 per year. (Payable as a single payment or 12 monthly subscription of £20.00/mth) - Fully Inclusive of all training and match fees. First 6 sessions for new members are free.

Senior Annual - £360.00 per year (Payable as a single payment or 12 monthly subscription of £30.00/mth) - Fully Inclusive of all training and match fees for the 2024/25 Season (excludes summer league match fee of £5.00 per match). First session for new members is free.

Senior Occasional Pay to Play Player - £50.00 Membership fee per year. £10.00 match fee per session (Training & Games). (Payable as a single payment or 4 payments, spread 2 months apart of £12.50/mth)

Back to Hockey. £5.00 per training session or £15.00 per month as a subscription.

We also offer a Family discount for annual memberships which the membership officer can inform you about.
