At Braintree Under 11s first outing to Hadleigh, the boys fought hard against a good opposition team and after a few false starts, they crashed through Hadleigh's defences to end victorious in all three matches.
In their first match, there was some confusion over the whereabouts of the try line, but Braintree kept their heads and created the chances to score. The action was largely in Hadleigh's half with them defending hard, but tries from Jack Raine and Samuel Everitt secured the win.
The second match saw head coach Jamie Clarke mix up the team and with great passing and pressure, the Braintree boys used their skill to keep the score line growing. Fantastic tackling throughout, from the likes of Matthew Brooks and Harry Ridgwell, together with quickly taken penalties from Sam Ball, the boys created opportunities for tries from Oscar Letch, Arthur McCann, Thomas Humphries, Sam Waud, Jack Raine and Alfie Davis. Hadleigh managed to sneak through Braintree's defence to score a try, but to no avail, Braintree Under 11s kept up the pressure and won the match.
The third and final game saw much of the same play, with all the boys getting fair match time and doing what they do best. With Braintree on the lookout for chances against a good Hadleigh defence, the boys stayed solid and continued their winning streak, succeeding in the final match.
Another good day out for the Braintree Under 11s, well done lads!
