We were meant to play at the Upminster Festival today but the festival was postponed which was disappointing but Westcliffe invited us over to play a friendly game and we didn't hesitate.
Again the sun was shining and we had a full team of 12 boys.
The Westcliffe team gave the boys a real challenge and it was no walk over. The boys had to attack at some really good defending players and passing was key.
We played 6 games in total and won 4 of them which was a great result.
1. 20 - 35
2. 15 - 30
3. 20 - 10
4. 10 - 25
5. 25 - 35
6. 25 - 15
(1 try = score of 5)
Total tries = 30 = 150
Our top try scorer this week was Thomas Wadforth with 10 tries (50) followed by George Martindale with a close second of 9 (45).
The tag of the day definitely goes to Luca. With just a second before the Westcliffe player was about to score a try Luca came flying in and in one swoop took the tag without hesitation. Go Luca James!
Aiden made his debut for the Under 7s which was great to see.
All in all a great last minute fixture away to Westcliffe, some more match experience for our players and another win under our belt.
Thanks to all the parents for your support.
Well done Braintree Under 7s!
