Under 7’s go from strength to strength against Woodford and Rochford

17 of our 21 player squad and families trekked down to Woodford for the Woodford Tri match including Rochford – where the Braintree Under 7’s were the overall winners.

Woodford had 3 teams and Rochford had one team, we had our own two teams Lions and Tigers

We agreed to have blended teams. Unfortunately space was limited and Woodford set out three very small pitches to keep all teams playing.

Braintree Tigers had a very slow start and struggled to get into gear and had their 1st defeat for some time:

• Woodford 1 beat Tigers 4-3 tries.
• Lions beat Woodford 2 6 -5 tries.
• Tigers beat Woodford 2 5 -3 tries.
• Lions beat Woodford 3 7 -5 tries.
• Tigers beat Woodford 3 7 -3 tries.
• Lions beat Rochford 5 -4 tries.

Unfortunately we ran out of time to allow the Lions to play Woodford 1 of Tiger play Rochford.

On the basis of winning 5 games and losing 1 we awarded ourselves the tournament.

Well done to all the players and thanks to all the parents that made the trip and helped out.
