Having scooped Players Player and Parents Player of the Year, goalkeeper Remy completed a successful couple of days by saving two penalties which helped the U14s win the Groby end of season tournament.
This was the first time the team had played an 11-a-side game, and despite several regulars being unable to attend, they settled into the new format quite well and by the last group game were looking very confident.
Finishing runners up in the group stage meant that they faced Ibstock in the final. And having lost 4-0 to them during the group stage they had to up their game to have any chance of winning. And up it they did! This time they put in a superb effort and proved just what they can do. The final was a draw, meaning penalties which Braunstone won 3-1.
Well done girls. The managers and parents are very proud of you.
