JOHN KERSLAKE PAST PRESIDENT

It is with sadness that I must inform you that our former President John Kerslake passed away last night.
John since joining the Club in the early 1990’s has held many positions both on and off the field he started off by captaining the 5th XV known as the “Bucks” which was primarily run as a Vets XV. Soon John volunteered to take on the role as Honorary Treasurer one of the most important and difficult jobs within a Rugby Club, following his tenure he moved on to the Chairmanship and then the Presidency completing the Triple Crown of the top jobs. In recognition of the years spent working on our behalf he was made a Life Member something that was earned by deed.
John loved Rugby as a game and all the social aspects that it provided and would still attend 1st XV matches both home and away no matter what the distance of travel and enjoyed friendships made throughout the rugby community.
Our condolences go to his wife Jackie and sons Alex and Chris at this sad time.
