Bridgnorth’s final key signing for the 2022 season is Staffordshire all-rounder Michael Hill, who arrives following a successful stint at Stoke-on-Trent based side J&G Meakin CC.

A stylish left-hand middle-order batsman and left-arm seam bowler, he brings eight years of minor counties cricket experience, A highly successful record at his previous clubs, including Wombourne, Himley and Kidderminster, has seen Hill score over 7000 league runs and take over 200 wickets. First team captain Dave Exall was delighted to confirm Hill’s arrival at Bridgnorth for the first time.

“Michael is a fantastic player, and I’m delighted he’s agreed to join us. He knows a lot of the lads already, and is a proven run-scorer at league and county level, and a very good seamer. I’m really looking forward to seeing what he can do for us this summer, and I know he’s keen to get stuck in.”

“This is an exciting challenge with a great group of lads, and a chance to play with some of my close friends again at a lovely ground,” said Hill upon confirmation of his signing.

“I’ve had some good success at a few clubs now, after growing up with the Quiney lads at Wombourne, and really enjoyed playing for Staffordshire for the last eight seasons too. I’m delighted to be joining a great squad of guys at Bridgnorth, and I’m really hopeful that we can challenge those top two spots and give promotion a real go this summer.”
