With the 3's taking the last home slot of the day there was much anticipation for the game to start, heightened even more so by the late flurry of available players meaning the 3's went into their first game of the season with 4 subs. Much less could be said however for the opposition, who unfortunately for them only managed to field 8 players!
However, the numbers game was not to be of an immediate advantage, as due to formation error and taking the lack of opposition for granted, the 3's soon found themselves a goal down. With a shift in focus and formation and taking advantage of the numerous subs, 3's found their feet getting their 1st deflected goal from Steve Pigden and their 2nd from Steve Wilson, ending the first half 2-1 to the good.
After an informative half time talk and another formation alteration, the 3's started the 2nd half ready and eager to go. Again taking advantage of the extra players on the side line (and assisted coaching tips from the spectators) Bridgwater soon found themselves with a 3rd goal from Richard Payne with a cheeky top corner flick over the keepers left shoulder and a 4th with another deflected goal from Steve Pigden.
Much deserved Man of the Match went to "an injured" Steve Pigden.
