
The 2015 Hett Cup has been a great success said Martin North after the final.
The cup first played for in 1913 and proceeds donated to charity has had one of it's most successful runs. It is hoped that through the generosity of the players and spectators well over £1200 wil have been raised.
Speaking to a packed club house after the game Bob Taylor thanked Ken Bowers for his superb pitches during the competition.
He also praised al the sides for taking part and the spirit in which the tournament had been played. He thanked the officials for volunteering their time and picked out Andy Ponting for special praise as he had officiated at every game.
Before presenting the Cup Bob told a little of the history of the competition and then presented the 102 year old cup to the Limestone captain.
All the Hett Cup organisers thanked everyone for their generosity on final night with over £190 being added to funds. Martin North said it was a great night a very generous crowd as well as an appreciative one. That is what the Hett Cup is about I'm overwhelmedby this years total raised.
