Brighouse Town Player Pen Pics 2017-18 Season

Vill Powell – Manager.
Former Striker with Sheffield Wednesday, Blackpool, FC Jokerit (Finnish Premier League), Derry City and Frickley Athletic amongst others. An FA Trophy winner in his playing days and now an A-license UEFA coach who left his Assistant Managers job at Harrogate Town to take up the Managers job at Brighouse Town this season.

Nat Brown – Assistant Manager.
Former Huddersfield Town, Lincoln City, Macclesfield and Boston Utd player who is a long trusted friend of Vill and shares the same footballing philosophy.

Harry Stead
Last season’s reserve goalkeeper Harry has come through the development set up at Brighouse and has grasped the opportunity given to him by the new management team at Brighouse. He displays a maturity well beyond his young age.

Jamie Underdown
20-year-old right sided player equally at home in attack or defence. Previously on the books with Ossett Town where I was playing reserve football before moving to New Zealand to play a season for Selwyn United in Christchurch. Exciting addition to the ranks at Brighouse.

Robbie Culpitt
22-year-old left back whose was with Shirebrook last season. New to Brighouse fans this season.

Nat Brown
Experienced central defender and coach. Past clubs include Huddersfield Town, Lincoln, Wrexham, Macclesfield, Halifax, Harrogate Town and last season Boston. When required Nat will bring a wealth of experience and tactical know how to the defensive unit.

Connor Griffin
Central defender who arrives at Brighouse following spells with Frickley Athletic, Stocksbridge, Rainworth MW and previously with Lincoln City as a junior (16-18).

Dan Grimshaw
Experienced defender who joined Brighouse midway through last season and soon established himself as a key member of the team. Very popular throughout the club he has previously played with FC United, New Mills 3 years and Droylsden.

Adam Field
Last year’s captain Adam is retained as a crucial part of Brighouse defensive set up. His commanding presence and fantastic fitness will be an important to the defensive effort this season. He joined Brighouse four seasons ago following his release from Huddersfield Town.

Tim Wallace
A product of the successful development structure at Brighouse, Tim will be looking this year to establish himself as a regular part of the first team set up. Commanding in the air and a great reader of the game. He was loaned out for much of last season to Nostell MW. Previous playing experience involvement time with both Halifax Town and Huddersfield Town youth teams.

Tom Haigh
Another product of the development set up at Brighouse Tom was last season’s players player of the year in a season that he established himself as a crucial part of the team that pressed closely for promotion. A gifted and tenacious central midfield player with an eye for goal. Was at Leeds united for 2 and a half years and then Bradford city for 2 years then came to Brighouse. As a junior, he spent two years with both Leeds United and Bradford City.

Callum Robinson
21-year-old central midfield player who join us from Scarborough Athletic. He was on the books with Grimsby Town for 2 years before heading off to play in Gibraltar prior to joining Scarborough. He was a main target for the new management team this season.

Danny Ramsey
A young midfield player with plenty of pace. Started his career as part of the junior set up at Sheffield United before playing last season at Sheffield FC.

Adam Jones
A very experienced central midfield player who has had a variety of experience within the semi- professional ranks. A character both on and off the pitch and keen to help Brighouse succeed this season.

Harley Wrigley
21-year-old who has had a number of clubs already and who is now looking to settle and develop under the guidance of Vill Powell and his management team. Previously Harley has been with
Sheff United, Rotherham United, Stalybridge Celtic, Farsley Celtic, Ossett Albion and Northwich Victoria.

Matty Ord
Exciting wide player who possesses electric speed and great close ball control. He played with Hallam FC last season and joins the Brighouse ranks with a clear desire to ensure the team succeeds this season.

Brad Riley
Brad joins the club following a season with Ossett Town and helping them to the divisional play offs. Returns to Brighouse after a brief spell with them in 2015.

Adam Shaw
An exciting 24-year-old forward player who joined Brighouse last season following spells with Yorkshire Amateurs, Glasshoughton Welfare and Wakefield. He is expected to push on this season and really cement his place in a successful goal scorer for the club.

Aaron Martin
Powerful centre forward who was one of Vill Powell’s main targets when he took over at Brighouse. Aaron started his career at Staveley MW before spells at Worksop Paramore, Goole and Sheffield FC. Another exciting addition to the squad.

Gabriel Johnson
20-year-old centre forward who has already found favour with the Brighouse faithful following his early season goals. He was part of the Sheffield United Academy from U8’s to U18’s and was unlucky not to be offered a full-time contract. Last season he played Sheffield FC and comes into the Brighouse set with a clear appetite to succeed.

Jacob Buchanan
21- year-old wide forward player – happy on either flank. Started his career with Huddersfield Town and when released bounced around local Sunday football before being picked up by Brighouse last season. He ended up on a dual registration with Campion to get more regular first team football and has returned to Brighouse this season pressing for a regular starting place.
