BRIGHOUSE Town have the chance to test their recent progress in Division One when they entertain Barton Town Old Boys at St Giles Road.
Town have won three of their last four in the league and will relish the visit of a side that are sixth in the table, although they have only picked up two points from the last 18 on offer.

"Barton are sixth, but if you look at the form table theyADVERTISEMENTare struggling and I don't know why," said Brighouse boss Mark Brier.

"I think in this division there are only Scarborough and Askern who have shown any permanent form this season."

Brier has received a boost with the news that keeper Paul Brown's shoulder problem is not as bad as first feared.

The Town stopper had a scan on the injured joint earlier this week and an injection in a bid to correct the problem.

Brier expects Brown to be available, but has new signing Lee Williams in the squad as cover.

"Lee is an exceptionally good young keeper," said Brier. "Up to now Paul has been the only player whose place in the side has not been threatened."

Jordan Maltas completes a second successive three-match ban tomorrow while Jermaine Manners' Achilles problem could restrict him to the bench.

Joe Pinnock, who has a broken toe, is Town's only long term absentee.
