The Reserves started their pre-season fixtures with a 6-1 win against Belle Vue Warriors of the Colchester East Essex League. A young Reserve side played well during the first half against a physical side and took the lead just before half time when Danny Hill played a cross from the right which looped over the keeper to make it 1-0. In the 2nd half Regent took control and soon raced in to a 3-0 lead with Gridley and Danny Hill both taking their goals well. Another goal from Gridley with Charlie Usher and Quinton both scoring on their debuts before a consolation goal for Belle Vue making the final score 6-1. A good first workout for the Reserves, with players still to come back in and some very promising youngsters, showing plenty of potential. The next game for the Reserves is away to Gas Rec Reserves on Wednesday 18th July, 6.30pm kick off.
