We will be running touch rugby on Wednesday nights at 7pm. Initially this will be until the start of the new regular season. However, the IGR (International Gay Rugby) are running a project to create specific Touch Teams at each of the IGR clubs to increase participation in rugby. This might include having touch leagues or friendlies against IGR teams throughout the year or having Touch Rugby tournaments at the Union Cup and Bingham Cup.

It would be great if we could get enough people along regularly to have a Sea Serpents touch team running throughout the whole year and take part in these new initiatives.

Everyone is welcome to participate but we would love to particularly encourage people who might not want to play contact rugby due to injury, age, confidence or experience. Touch rugby is also mixed gender and open to everyone to participate so please encourage anyone you know to come down and give it a go.

There are some differences to the rules in Touch Rugby but essentially the main aims are the same, put the ball down over the oppositions try line and you can only pass backwards.
