August was a month ‘off’ for us but we still had some amazing events while looking forward to us hosting the first tournament at the start of September.

We officially launched our touch team with an open day. The weather held off long enough to allow us to play some touch before pouring down and we joined Hove to watch the Lions play. It was great to see some of our friends from Brighton and Hove touch team
come down and join in.

We also got to host our friends, Coventry Corsairs who enjoy two nights out with us (much fun was had) as well as development training and a short game play with our first scrums since Covid. The day gave both our newer players and many of the Corsairs players
some contact game play in a supportive environment. We rounded off that weekend with our new kit launch and the selling off our first kit, the Camelford sponsored one, to help raise funds for our trip to Ottawa for Bingham in August 2022.

This month sees us host the Steelers for a double header with a development squad taking on their 4s and our main squad taking on their 3s. We round the month off with our first game in the new IGR League, against Wessex Wyverns, away in Southampton. The new season has officially started and rugby is back!
