The 2021/22 season is starting and new players are always welcome!

The new season is starting and we've got load of fantastic rugby lined up. We always accept new players and members regardless of your experience, gender, sexuality, or age. We have a rugby offer for everyone.

On Mondays at 7pm-8pm we will be playing touch rugby which is a non-contact version of the game that can be played by anyone and is genderless. Whether you are looking at getting back into rugby or have never picked up a ball before touch rugby is a great way to get into the game. Then from 8pm to 9pm we will continue with non-contact rugby but will focus on the skills and laws of the 15 aside game this will help anyone that's interested in learning more about the full version of the game or those looking to transition to the contact game.

On Wednesdays we will be running contact training, again this is open to everyone whether you're new to the game or more experienced. We will take you through the basics of tackling, rucking, scrums and lineouts.

We also have a fantastic programme of fixtures lined up for the year. We have touch rugby tournaments in Birmingham, contact rugby tournaments in Newcastle and Maidenhead. We have friendlies against local Sussex RFU sides and for the first year we have joined the IGR South League. We will also be looking to send a team to the Bingham Cup in Ottawa in August 2022. To see a full list of our fixtures click here.

If you are wondering what kit you need all you need is trainers or boots (boots especially as it gets wetter), shorts, a t-shirt, a hoody you don't mind getting dirty and if you want to play contact make sure you have a mouthguard.

If you're buying boots most of the shelf rugby or football boots will be ok just make sure the studs or blades aren't sharp or pointy. Here's a bit more information on what studs are legal.

The first month of training and playing is completely free. If you enjoy it (which we're sure you will!) then you can join the club fully by paying your memberships fees these cover our coaching, referees, pitch hire, playing kits, entry into leagues and tournaments, training equipment, food after matches as well as a whole load of other bits and pieces that keeps the club running:

Membership fees are:
Players £150 or £12.50 per month for 12 months
Non-Players £85.50 or 7.50 per month for 12 months
Supporters £38.00 or £3.33 per month for 12 months

There is a 5% discount if you pay in full. Students receive a 50% discount on all levels of subscription. If your income is low or you are unemployed chat to one of our committee members they may be able to agree a discount depending on your circumstances.
