Brighton's youth and adult teams enjoy another fantastic season. Get ready for 2019!

It doesn't feel so long since we all ran out onto the baseball diamond in April for our opening games of the 2018 season, but we have packed a LOT of baseball into the last 6 months! Our three youth age groups and two adult teams have played lots of friendlies and league games, and also took part in national and international tournaments. With baseball increasing its presence across the south and south east, our teams have hosted and travelled to clubs in London, Surrey, Essex, Kent, Hertfordshire, and Hampshire. And at the youth level, Brighton players have represented their country in the European Championships at U12 (Budapest) and U15 (Antwerp) levels, while also playing in other tournaments in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands.

As always, our teams have had highs and lows, experiencing wins and losses but always finding ways to find the positives and learn from every situation. We have also picked up lots of new players along the way, and have loved welcoming them to the Brighton family. It was particularly exciting to end the season with another national championship win for our amazing U11 team at the Youth National Baseball Championships -- two years in a row!

Now we turn our attention to planning and training for an even bigger and better 2019 season, which just so happens to coincide with the arrival of the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees in the UK for Major League Baseball's first ever regular season games in Europe.

Keep an eye on our website and on our Facebook page for information on our indoor winter training programme, when we would be delighted to welcome new players, regardless of the level of prior experience. Play Ball!!
