Hellenic League Update dated 24th March.

HELLENIC LEAGUE UPDATE 24th March
Following an FA release, football resumes from 29th March.
On Wednesday 24th March 2021 the FA released a guide for any competitions that may be played after the 2020/21 season was curtailed. It includes the latest information on Covid 19 security, spectators and hospitality. Read on for details.
“Spectators" – our current understanding is that spectators for non-elite football will be under the same categorisation as outlined for all spectators in the government's roadmap. Therefore, unless informed otherwise, all fixtures played under the government's Step 1 Roadmap regime will need to be behind closed doors (NO SPECTATORS) in force until at least the start of Step 2 (no earlier than April 12th).
As yet DCMS have not published guidance with regard to Step 2 of the Roadmap.
Clubs are reminded that failure to follow any government guidance could be in breach of gathering legislation in force at any time.
So what happens now?
Having received sanction from the FA the Hellenic League will commence with two cup competitions, scheduled to start from April 12th
In summary, both cups will be arranged into mini leagues, ending with a knockout phase, leading to Finals to be played before the end of May. The Lilywhites will play in Group 2, meeting up against Malmesbury Victoria, Stonehouse Town and Royal Wootton Bassett.
