The last 12 months has been tough on most of us but for some of our family members, friends or colleagues the last 12 months may have been tougher. With working from home and the loss of playing rugby and football and it has been running that has gotten Rob out the house during the pandemic. He is attempting to put his running and mind to the test over a weekend by running 4 miles every 4 hours during a 48 hour period and he is hoping to raise funds for MIND in the process.
The coronavirus pandemic has not just been a health issue for the direct impact of the virus. With the isolation from friends and family, loss of jobs and the increased stresses of more time at home the impact has created a mental health emergency. Whether we are aware or not most of us will know somebody that has really struggled since the first lockdown and the support that charities like MIND provide will have been a real lifeline.
Starting 4am on the 6th March 2021 Rob will be running 4 miles at the top of every 4 hour period until 4am on the 8th March. In total he will cover 48 miles within the 48 hour period.
Rob’s fundraising page is www.justgiving.com/team/4448 and your support will help him along when he’s waking up and going out in the middle of the night for another 4 miles.
