Pitch Up For Rugby is a national campaign by the RFU to get grassroots rugby restarted.
After almost 16 months without full contact rugby, players in the community game have been able to return to scrums and mauls in training from 19 July. Full contact friendlies have started from 7 August for clubs that wish and for players who feel physically and technically ready.
On Tuesday 7th September BAC RFC are inviting all club players past and present, affiliates, and potential new players to join in a game of touch rugby. There will be a bit of social time as well but it is a school night. Put Tuesday 7th September in your diary and we will see you at the BAWA at 18:45.
Pitch Up to Support The Game You Love
- You may already be planning to start the new season as normal with BAC RFC – brilliant!
- You may be wondering if you’ve got another season in you after a long lay-off – you have! You don’t have to be on top of your game immediately, there’s time to build-up gradually. Simply dust off your boots and support BAC RFC as we get the game back up and running.
- You may have gone on to play, coach, or referee elsewhere, but that doesn’t mean you will have forgotten where you started. Please make an effort to go back to where it began at the BAWA, to support the people who helped you on your way and to inspire the next generation to keep a rugby ball in their hands.
- You don’t even have to play. Off-field social support is as important as the on-field teamwork. The clubhouse needs you after being empty for so long!
Spread the word and get your mates together to Pitch Up For Rugby at BAC RFC.
