Despite the poor availability, morale was high and all were determined to put the Kingswood defeat to bed and get back to winning ways.
We started in a positive manner and early territory was ours with the pack securing the ball at the breakdown and the half backs getting decent ball out to the backs who ran well.
Bousch kept Cainscross pinned in their half with some decent kicks, with both wingers supporting the return kicks with safe hands and good gains.
All of the trys were well worked team efforts with two in the first half, both on the right wing, with the latter being scored as the last play of the half.
Half time: 0 - 10
The second half saw BAC now coming down the hill and stepping up the intensity. Nice lines were being cut and defense remained organised. A nice ball kicked through by Sam Shep saw Pierre run through and score our first points of the second half. This was followed up with a second try by Bousch and conversion by Sam Shep.
Cainscross converted a penalty, but never looked like getting through our defensive line, despite one period of play where they pushed us to our try line, but did not get over. However the referee decided to award a penalty try at this point, and we have no idea why it was awarded as the player number cited does not exist..
Despite this, it was a solid win for BAC and we're looking forward to playing Old E's at the BAWA next Saturday.
