The coaches stuck with the winning team from the previous week (barring injuries) and despite a slow start proved to be the right decision.

Once again perfect conditions for rugby, slight breeze and soft to firm under foot.

Warm up and preparation was good and despite our illustrious leader Mr Yapp not being able to make it, we had a wind swept Casper on the side lines ready to unleash hell..

And given the first 10 minutes you would not blame him for doing so. A try and penalty down already and quick conversations were had in our own in goal area regarding our structure and approach.

The lads listened and we started to play. Some decent rucking by both packs saw turnovers for both sides. Their 12 made some decent runs and their 10 kick for territory was a clear game plan for Old E's. Our back three dealt with the kicks and put it back into their half to keep the pressure on.

Our pack was starting to dominate the scrum with some quick ball off the back. We pushed towards the 22 and off the back of a hard fought srum, Stu Bonkers picked and got across the line.

Our lineouts were being won with ease, in most cases not even an opposing jump, this coupled with us picking off a few of their lineouts and Alex Welly keeping the pressure on their two kept the pressure on Old E's.

Penalty chance fell to Bousch who slotted over to bring the scores to 8-8.

Old E's could not get through the pack so started to move it wide, whilst our drift defence kept them out, they did manage to get around once and scored a try to make it 8-13 at the half time break.

Second half we knew it was a matter of time before we scored again, so we upped the intensity and got a try back from some nice play off the ruck for Bonkers to get his second try.

The backs were making some ground and got it out wide for Bousch to finish on the far left hand side. Great kick from Sammy for the conversion too.

We upped the intensity again to move the score in the right direction. This kept Old E's pinned in their half and with another lineout on their 5 yard line, Alex Welly nicked the ball and went over in the right hand corner.

Overall our defensive line was solid, keeping Old E's at bay for the whole of the second half.

Good win and will carry this on in training and into next weeks game.

Final Score: 25-13.
