Brixham Town are very happy to be using John Charles Park as their home ground for the upcoming season! The facility itself is currently under-going a change of use which will mean football can be played at the facility as of July 2020 if all goes as planned. Brixham Development Academy who own the lease of the facility are hoping to work with Brixham cricket club to offer their fantastic changing facilities for matchdays. Although unconfirmed Brixham Development Academy holds high hopes that the 2 clubs can work together which will mean that Brixham Town can share changing facilities and use the club house as a social hub after games. The pitch has undergone lots of work this spring/summer to make it the best surface it can be. Shaun Langdon club chairman and BDA head coach said "We have worked really hard levelling the pitch and once the change of use goes through we will be able to begin buying goals and getting the advertising boards up. We also hope to be adding a car park and are awaiting news from the cricket club as to if this can go ahead or not." The planned first training session at the facility will be in July and the first official match to be some time in September. Brixham Town are also looking to run a fundraising event at the facility before the new season gets underway with an U25s vs O26s match that will see the older players in the club face up against the younger players.
