Brixton Bulls RLFC have announced exciting plans to run the clubs first ever men’s open age team for the 2016 season.
The club currently runs teams at under-7, under-9 and under-17 age groups, and the establishment of an open age team is part of its long-term plans to provide a sustainable pathway for rugby league players in South London. Like the Bulls’ junior teams, the open age side will train and play on Woodmansterne Playing Fields, a short walk from Streatham Common railway station.
The Bulls’ under-17s enjoyed a successful 2015 season, winning the London Junior Cup, and finishing runners-up in the London Junior League. A number of these players will be looking to make the step-up to open age rugby league, but the club is also looking to recruit new players and all are welcome.
An open meeting will be held on 25th November at the 7.30pm at the Railway pub, opposite Streatham Common railway station. All are welcome to drop in for a drink and discuss plans for the season ahead.
