In 1963 a small group in the village including Fred Bellenger and Bob Watts decided that the football team should be reformed. It was decided that a meeting should be held to discuss this and on the 1st July one was held at the Victory Hut. Unfortunately very few people showed up but not to be deterred it was decided to hold another meeting on the 8th July.

On the morning of the 8th July Bob Watt's wife Margaret went in to labour with their first child. Fred drove Margaret to Chipping Norton hospital. In the evening Bob went to visit Margaret and their daughter Sharon.

At the same time the meeting went ahead and was well attended and a vote was passed to start the football team. Roy Fitchett was elected as Chairman with Tommy Thompson as Treasurer and Fred Bellenger as Club Captain. When Bob returned to celebrate the birth of his daughter he asked how the meeting went and was told the good news and that he had been elected as Secretary.

With the Committee and Club formed the first AGM was held on 6th August 1963 and funds were raised to help run the Club. Whist drives and Jumble Sales were held along with asking 'would-be Vice Presidents' to donate to the Club. Aubrey Smith of Grange Farm donated £10 (Two-thirds of an average wage).

The Club entered the 1963/64 season in Division Two with one side and played in white shirts with orange trim.
