At the end of last season our Sunday Under 13 team moved across from the Sussex Sunday Youth League in order to play more games in the Mid Sussex Youth League but were slightly disappointed to be placed in their second tier.

However after a good competitive season in that division the Bears finished top on goal difference ahead of Wanderers, both sides won 12, drew 1 and lost 2, so it was down to a playoff to decide who would be champions.

Having already played and lost twice to the Wanderers the Bears were expecting another difficult encounter and that's how it looked at the break with Heath narrowly in front by 2-1 but that all changed in the second period when the young Bears turned on the style to dominate play, scoring a further five goals without reply.

So next season the team will be playing a very good standard of football in the top division of the Mid Sussex Under 15 league against some very good sides which is just what the players need to help in their development.
