Vets beaten by the Farmers
The Vets suffered their first home defeat of the league season on Sunday.
Not as impressive a record as it sounds as this was only the second home game of the campaign thanks to our home pitch in Horsham Park resembling a reservoir for much of the last four months.
With the pitch still in poor condition both sides found it difficult to strike up any rhythm and as a result a less than attractive game ensued. Hills Farm took the lead midway through the first half when centre forward, Darron Mitchell, rode far too many tackles on a solo run before slotting home.
The second half saw little improvement from BBH with two further goals to Hills Farm coming from a decent strike from the corner of the box and a mistake letting in a Hills Farm striker with a clear run on goal. The only consolation for Heath came with 3 minutes to go when emergency striker Paul Lockyer tapped in from inside the six yard box.
Hopefully better days to come in the remaining six games of the season.
