Despite an improved 2nd half the "Brook" were unable to defeat a strong Camberley side.

It was the visitors who were first out of the starting blocks & after only 4 minutes they had the ball in the net but luckily for the Brook the linesman flagged for an offence & the goal disallowed .

However the Brook failed to heed the warning & on the 20th minute a free kick from the left found Camberley's Matt Bunyan unmarked at the far post & his header from 6 yards beat Cameron Kennedy in the Brook goal.0-1

The Brook responded straight away to this setback & 2 minutes later a fine move down the right, with Kildane Tesfu & Sekani McCalmon exchanging passes before Tesfu crossed into the box and Ryan Egan headed just over the bar..

The Brook were working hard to get back into the game but Camberley always looked dangerous when attacking but the half ended with the Brook trailing by that single goal.

The Brook started the 2nd half brightly & after only 3 minutes Josh Quadry was unlucky to see his shot just clear the Camberley cross bar.

However the Brook were made to pay for not taking theiropportunities as in the 63rd minute poor defending allowed Matt Bunyan an unopposed run on goal & he calmly shot past the exposed Cameron Kennedy to score his & Camberly's 2nd goal.0-2

This further setback galvanized the Brook & with Harry Carter & Jordan Berry working well in the middle & Josh Quadry making some good runs on the right the Brook were looking the more likely to score.

And so it was when in the 77th minute Ryan Egan played a good ball through to SEKANI McCALMON who lobbed the advancing keeper to reduce the arrears.1-2

It was now the Brook who looked the better side as they pushed forward looking for the equalizer but credit to the visitors as their defence held firn denying the home side any clear cut scoring opportunities.

With time running out & the Brook still pushing for the equalizer there came one of those decisions that leave players & club officials screaming with frustration & questioning whether it's all worth it.

From a rare Camberley attack Austin Schofield made an excellent defending tackle only for the referee to compound an already poor performance to blow for a penalty.A decision that clearly stunned everybody in the ground unless you were a die-hard Camberley supporter. To compound the issue he then proceeded to book the Brook defender.

Camberley substitute Carl Garstang took & scored the resultant penalty, totally deflating the home side & the game ended 3-1 to the visitors.

A much improved 2nd half performance from the Brook gives some positives to what has been a disappointing season so far but although Camberley throughly deserved their victory the awarding of the penalty completely stunned the Brook.
