Once again the Brook showed they do not do things easily as they went 2-0 down to Spelthorne Sports on a cold Tuesday evening, before fighting back to deservedly rescue a point.
It was the visitors who raced out of the starting blocks as they took a 2 minute lead through their No 9 Lee Staples & increased their lead on 26 minutes through Sam Rees.0-2
But credit to the Brook, they fought back with both wide players Rhys Rabess & Josh Quadry causing their markers plenty of problems but unable to find that elusive final ball.
Clearly RHYS RABESS decided to do the job himself & in the 30th minute a suberb run down the left leaving several defenders floundering in his wake he hammered the ball past Price in the Spelthorne goal.1-2
The remainder of the half saw both midfields working hard to create further opportunities but both defences were standing solid & the half finished with the Brook 2-1 behind.
The 2nd half got underway with the Brook looking determined to get back on terms as Bradley Hand & Mohammed Ahmadi looked to capitalize on the good work the 2 wide players Quadry & Rabess were doing but the equalizer came from a rare source.
in the 65th minute the Brook won a corner on the left & when the kjick came over it fell for LAWRENCE ARTIK who was the first to react & shot home.2-2
Both teams upped the tempo looking for a winner but both defences were holding firm especially the Brook's central defenders Artik & Schofield.
In the last couple of minutes the Brook believed they should have had a penalty when McCalmon was clipped in the area but the referee refused the appeal(saying later although their was contact he didn't deem it sufficient to award the penalty??????)ft 2-2
