A poor performance from the Brook saw them lose 2-0 away to Banstead Athletic.
From the kick off the Brook pushed forward & on 2 minutes a Harry Bishop shot was well saved by Ramos in the Banstead goal.
On 6 minutes Banstead opened the scoring, they won a corner on the left & when the ball was played over Banstead's Arthur was completely unmarked & headed into the net.1-0
The Brook tried to hit back immediately as Mateus Kaczmarek made a run into the Banstead area but his shot was saved by Ramos & 10 minutes later the same player again saw his shot saved by the keeper.
The Brook continued to dominate the half but were unable to break Banstead's stubborn defence & on 29 minutes Isaac Olaleye played in Kaczmarek but his weak shot went passed the post.HT 1-0
Any thoughts of the Brook continuing to dominate the game in the 2nd half were soon dispelled as they continually lost poession or misplaced passes allowing the home side to defend in numbers or create opportunities.
It was no surprise when in the 73rd minute Banstead increased their lead, the Brook missed several opportunities to clear the ball & finally allowed Smith a sight of goal who fired past Kennedy.2-0
The Brook continued to huff & puff with no real purpose & it was left to Mourad Jarraz to have their only meaningful chance of the 2nd half when on 77 minutes he shot straight at the keeper who comfortably saved his attempt.
With the final whistle seeing a 2-0 defeat for the Brook several players gave the impression that they didn't want to put the effort into the game that was needed, very disappointing.
