Back to league action with a local derby.

After last weeks fine win in the Bucks County Shield Final, Buckingham return to league action with a trip to local rivals Milton Keynes.

The clubs met only a few weeks ago in the Shield and a resounding win resulted for Buckingham but that was then and this will be an entirly different proposition.

Milton Keynes have won their last 5 league games and enter the match in bullish mood having stated in the press that they still feel more than capable of beating all the top sides in the division. The league title and promotion is still their goal and Director of Rugby, Ray Bray is quoted as saying if they get their mental state right they can beat anyone on their day.

They also felt the previous result was clouded by a below par side being selected, a mistake they will not make this time.

For Buckingham there is only one change in the pack where Andy Thompson swaps places with Phil Wright. In the backline James Bernard moves in to his more familiar role of inside centre so after many impressive performances for the 2nds, Calum Hayter makes his debut on the wing. Andy White returns from his recent injury on the bench and is joined by Jamie Hartnett who replaces Sam Bishop.

Given the confident way MK are going in to the game it is difficult to see this being the one sided encounter it was a few weeks ago so Buckingham will have to again reproduce the fine form of last weekend.
