Buckingham win 1-0 in a closely fought game.
As a precursor to the 1st team fixture against Leighton Buzzard, the U12s took on the Old Scouts in a 'narrow' corner of the main pitch.
Following kick-off by the Old Scouts the early exchanges were very tight, with each team driving the ball through the forwards. Buckingham had the first opportunity following a messy line-out near the OS line as Daniel made a charge for the line only to be held up.
With OS winning the early scrums they soon put pressure back on Buckingham and had a good opportunity to score, but a combination of good defence and perhaps confusion on where the try line was, prevented a score to keep it 0-0 at half time.
Buckingham kicked off for the second half and quickly established themselves in the early exchanges keeping the play near the OS try line and with the forwards now winning the scrums the pressure soon resulted in a well taken opportunity by Liam to score a try.
From the re-start OS started well, but a great combination of charging runs from Tom P, offloading to Tom O, who in turn offloaded to Jack saw Buckingham once again putting pressure on the OS try line.
However no more scores were possible as the final whistle went, another well deserved victory for the U12s!
