Rugby Sunday 2 March 2014

Dear All

Rugby on Sunday

As you know we have the Final on Sunday, and we potentially had a 10’s match as well, but that has been called off due to water logged pitches.

Selection has been made difficult due to injuries, sickness and other activities. Competition for places has been excellent and we have had a really headache in team selection. This has been made more difficult due to injuries and sickness and even at the point of sending this email we have a number of boys that are recovering and therefore we have named a slightly larger squad as we need to ensure we have 22 fit boys able to play.

As this is a competitive fixture and a Final- as before, just because you are in the squad doesn’t mean you will feature in the game- it is highly lightly that you will, but I need to manage expectations. If you are available, but not in the squad, or don’t make it onto the pitch you will have priority in the next 2 matches coming up.

The Squad in no particular order is

Ollie Robb, Ben Bayliss, Charlie Andrews, Joe Critch, Max Boothby, Morgan Burrows, Ed Broome, Ed Hollingworth, Jack Salisbury, Will Odell, Ralph Handley, Kristian Kay, Luc Vignoles, Jordan Daniel, Adam King, Will Symonds, Ross McLelland, Cameron Wakelin, Nick Sumner, Jack Pierce, Josh Welham, Ed Giles, Kurtis Bull, Jason Mace, Leo Copas.

I do need to know by Saturday 12 noon if your son isn’t going to be fit please

The details of the Final are below and we ask the boys to arrive no later than 1.15 please, they arrive in their Green kit and bring their trousers shirts and ties to change into afterwards. I don’t believe there is any after match tea, but last year there was a pig roast.

Without doubt this is the biggest match of our season to date and will be a tough, physical game, so I have tried to instil in the boys that they need an early night on Saturday, to eat sensibly and be ready.

Any problems please let me know, otherwise I look forward to seeing you on Sunday

Kind Regards,
