Along with Rico, Jean had been a stalwart at the Club since the 1980’s, and many of you will remember her pre-match buffets and post-match players teas, which were legendary, and the envy of every visiting Club.

She and Rico were very generous to the Club, both financially, and in their time working very hard in both the kitchen and behind the bar, over a long period. This was formally recognized when they were both made Honorary Vice Presidents in 2004.

After Rico passed away in 2013, Jean continued to be a regular supporter at the Club, thoroughly enjoying the various lunches and away coach trips, and helping Tiger in his “scoreboard dug-out”.

At present, I have no details on funeral arrangements, but there will of course be restrictions on the scale and attendance for that.

Jean will be sadly missed.
