Buckingham had a relatively easy game on Saturday against Drifters who are struggling at the bottom of the division and have had over 1,000 points scored against them this season. But fair play to the Farnham Common side who not once gave up and battled away for the full 80 minutes.
The playing conditions were ideal for a good open game, the first time for quite a few weeks, which delivered exciting passing and interplay between forwards and backs resulting in the 14 try-fest. Tom Warren was the star performer with four well taken tries and Max Nagy made a lot of ground with many good kicks producing several scoring chances. Although the final score was 92-0 the opposition never gave up trying and pushed Buckingham on several occasions.
It was good to see Euan Prime making a 1st XV comeback after being out injured and Billy Feast made a deserved starting debut having put in plenty of groundwork in the lower ranks.
Scorers on the day were as follows: Tom Warren 4, Max Nagy & Jamie Temple 2, Euan Prime, Ed Kinman, Tommy Oi, Joe Chalmers, Matt London, Joel Coxon all one a piece.
With Buckingham still in second place a chance to go up into the next division still looks a distinct possibility.
