This weekend's Winter Warmers league game was set to be a tough challenge, Buckingham 3rds, second place and Milton Keynes 3rds who are third in the league.
A top of table clash played on a perfect day for rugby, clear skies and soft ground, the start of the game got off to a flying start and within 5 minutes two tries were run in by the backs Robinson and Bull. The Milton Keynes larger pack struggled to keep up with the pace of the younger and fitter Buckingham team.
The Buckingham team dominated the play throughout the game, with more tries from Bull, Smith, Bassett (2,) Cook and the captain Martin Dunford scoring the last on the day. Conversions were scored by Reader (3) and Norman.
Milton Keynes played with great commitment but struggled to overcome the dominant Buckingham team. This win for Buckingham 3rds has guaranteed second place in the Winter Warmers Merit league.
