“Spirited Performance”

We arrived to be advised they had a touring team there and asked if we wanted to play against them as well – which of course we did.

We had a lot of boys on holiday, SoR, and still injured and we had a bare squad of 18 boys turn up. Both matches were tough and we had a number of injuries which hampered us further. A great spirited performance from all who attended with many playing out of position, or playing a position for the 1st time.

Unfortunately we were beaten in both games- but we contested it well and the positive is that we lost by less point than Amersham did to the touring side.

Sheer lack of experience lead us loose as we didn’t drift in defence and left holes for the opposition to run at us.
As I have said previously now is the time to expose our weaknesses so we can work on them in training for next season where we have c16 competitive fixtures.

The Coaches man of the match was Jack Salisbury – well done Jack
