The Swans had a fresh looking team due to several injuries including Captain Katie Clark along side 4/5 others
Charlotte Dennis and Emily Clegg made there full debuts at outside centre and wing. Sophie Lepper was forced to take one for the team (again) playing at 10 instead of 2nd Row. Nic Lepper made her first start in several weeks too.
The Swans started very quickly, playing down the hill the bombarded the home side with pressure all over the park. Where the drove the Worcester pack over the line with scrum half Bec Bray tapping down for the score. 0-5
Worcester managed to get themselves back in the game soon after, attacking with width and scoring in the corner.
The remainder of the first half was spent deep in the Swans half. With nobody in the squad able to clear their lines the buckingham outfit new they would have to work very hard to keep the ball and earn there exit. To the home sides credit they were well disciplined conceding few penalties. The swans played there rugby well, and completed high number of phases showing that they were prepared to be patient. When the ball was lost they defended very well, unfortunately just conceding a try 5 minutes before half time. That wasn't to be the end of action for the first half. The Swans used the try to get out of their half, and instantly went and played the remaining 5 minutes camped in the Worcester 22. HT 10-5
The Swans carried their game plan into the second half, however Worcester were the first to score. 15-5
The travelling side continued to power through the Scrums pushing up the hill, and attacked positively round the corner.
For the first time this season they showed a good game plan, not over committing to break downs and worked hard to get round the corner.
Worcester denied Buckingham the losing bonus point 5 minutes from time. 22-5
A fantastic game from the whole pack. The front row bossed from start to finish. Sophia Maynell at 8 was back to her normal self carrying and breaking the gain line.
Kirsty Haig getting forward of the game. Outstanding in the loose and carried well also.
Sophie Lepper had a superb game at 10 and picked up back of the match. Carried across the gain line constantly, and linked up well with Esther Barnes in a new 10/12 partnership. Sophie had some great turnovers to using the choke tackle.
Ladies are at home next week against Lichfield II's. Early Afternoon KO. Time tbc.
