Construction of the new net facility began yesterday by the contractor Total-Play. Stage one involves digging out the area where the nets will go, the formation of a land drain around the area, concrete kerb edgings around it and filled in with various types of stone and dust and grading of the surrounding land. it is hoped this will be done by the end of the week, beginning of the next. Stage two will be the construction of the steel framework and stage three involves the gluing down of the mats and attaching the wires and nets. It is expected that the new facility will be finished and signed off in 2-3 weeks, just in time for the new season.
