Team Fury Under 10's Match Report

Tiptree Jobserve Whites v Burnham Ramblers U10's Fury

Hi all, Team Fury travelled to Tiptree Jobserve Whites previous games have always been entertaining and today's did not disappoint playing in the Dome on their 3G pitch.
We started with Oliver in goal, Ronnie and Finlay in defence midfield trio of Harry / George and Aisden and Liam up top.
Right from the start set the tone of the match as we had the lions share of possession with Laim and Harry linking well and George putting in some great crosses. Aisden was extra lively in midfield making some very good runs with and without the ball.
Good work from George crossed for Harry but his shot was wide of the mark.
Oliver was called into action on 6 mins and dealt confidently with an awkward ball from a corner.
Ronnie and Finlay were excellent at the back reading the game and making challenges at the right time to stop Tiptree getting anywhere near our goal. I have to say the reading of the game by Finlay today not for the first time this season was exceptional and shows he has great understanding of the game when he or the team have not got the ball.
We made our changes bringing on Alfie P / Alfie H / Kyle and Vincent.
We now had a defensive partnership of Vincent / Alfie H and with Alfie P and Kyle in midfeild.
Alfie H playing in defence for the first time made a great interception to thwart Tiptree.
Kyle as ever was full of running with and without the ball.
Alfie P was working hard in midfield and linking well with the defence and attack with good balls into the box.
Kyle and Alfie P linked well in quick succession but the efforts by Alfie P found the keeper in good form and the other was over the bar.
Kyle made a fantastic block on the goal line from a free kick which saw Alfie H pick up the ball and run the full length of the pitch but was unable to get his shot away.
Last action of the half saw Vincent tracking back and managing to get a foot in to stop Tiptree advancing.
2nd Half started with Oliver in goal, Vincent and Finlay in defence, Midfield trio of Harry / Alfie P / Alfie H with Liam again up top.
Game carried on in the same way as the 1st with us again dominating possession.
Finlay again making some great tackles and Alfie H now playing in midfield had his shooting boots on but could not find the back of the net.
This gave Alfie P a much needed spring in his step.
Following on from this Alfie P put in a great cross for Liam but his shot was saved.
We made our substitutions bringing on Ronnie / Kyle / Aisden and George.
Ronnie and Vincent where called upon were making it very difficult for Tiptree to get anywhere near Oliver.
George today had his long range boots on when his first sighter was very well saved did not deter him.
Aisden was now getting in the action and made a great run down the right but could not find the power to trouble the keeper which was saved comfortably.
Tiptree now began to assert some pressure of their own but good tackles by Alfie P / Ronnie and Vincent kept them at bay.
This was a great team performance with lots of good close passing and control coupled with dogged determination to stop the opposition.
Man of the match as always is difficult but 2 people stood out today Finlay and Alfie P. Finlay was excellent today breaking up play and reading the game so well, but Alfie P just edged it today who in recent weeks has been quiet but today like Finlay he read the game very well, linked very well with his team mates as well taking shots when appropriate.
As always thanks to the parents and supporters for their support.
Next game weather permitting home to Chelmsford City Whites next Sunday.
