Burnham Ramblers 2-3 Brightlingsea
With Phil Kelly getting the early goal for Brightlinsea it was them who pushed on and took the game to Burnham and Phil Kelly got his second to double the lead on the 43rd minute but Burnham kept fighting Andrea Montovani getting his sweet left foot to the knockdown from a corner that took a slight deflection to get Burnham back in the game.
Into the second half and with Burnham managing not concede an early goal which has often been the case at Leslie Field this season.
They took the lead from a case of pinball and patter cake from the Brightlingsea defence dealing from a cross but Brad Hunter was on hand to crash the ball over the line on 54 minute.
With Burnham drawing level and gaining in confidence the game could of gone either way.
But only 12 minutes later man of the moment Phil Kelly notched his hayrick ticking the ball in the corner, which is all the more surprising as Phil hadn't had his scoring boots on for quite a number of games.
It was good to see the young Ramblers support getting behind the 1st team with an Under 10's training match on the main pitch prior to kick off.
