Burnham battled well and pushed Needham Market all the way

The first half was quick and frantic with Needham getting of to a great start with three good chances in the first 10 minutes with the Ramblers keeper Parr making a couple of good saves, Burnham just could not settle on the ball and were very nervy. It took Needham to score their 1st goal before the Ramblers started to show their quality.

On 30 minutes Needham's number 9 Guy turned Khory Davinson on the edge of the box to fire home their first goal, then again Guy saw a header deflected over the bar for a corner on 35 minutes. The Ramblers started to ask questions of the Needham defence and just before half time made the breakthrough when Frankis went past and beat three defenders using his pace his cross found Brad Hunter who side footed into the goal to make it 1 - 1 that's how it remained until half time

The second half was much the same as in the first half with Needham continually asking questions of the Burnham defence which stood firm until the 65th minutes, The Ramblers keeper Parr punched the ball following a corner only for it to fall at the feet of Ingram who scored from 15 yards into the near post 1 - 2 to Needham Market

On 71 and 80 minutes Ramblers boss Wilson made two changes to try and get back into the game bringing on Mitch Hunter and Jamie Salmon for mead and Frankis, into injury time the Ramblers were denied what looked to be a good claim for a penalty they continued to push for the all elusive equalising goal but unfortunately it was not to be and the final result was Burnham Ramblers 1 - 2 Needham Market

Man of the match was Ricky Evans for his work rate and tireless effort in midfield throughout the game
