6. Satellite rugby at Shuttleworth

Burnley RUFC Juniors continues to grow and link with their community. As Community Rugby Coach - Simon Finnan, delivers rugby via a 'Satellite Club' with funding from Lancashire Sport and entering its third year based at Shuttleworth High School in Padiham.

Back up and running since half term, six weeks have past and already 16 different children have had a go - with 11 boys and 5 girls giving it a try.

Since it began one boy is now playing for the local club, with one parent also being in touch with Burnley U13's and bringing their son down in the New Year.

Showing that the youngsters can have a try at the Satellite Club - close to / at their school then easily transfer to play the sport at the weekend with Burnley RUFC - who can accommodate both boys and girls aged 6-16.

Therefore any youngsters at Shuttleworth keen to try something new come along Thursday after school and meet other like minded youngsters and try a new sport.
